Cab 412 Chair by Cassina
Cab 412 Chair by Cassina
A new kind of chair, made entirely of saddle-hide, often cloned today. This is how Mario Bellini describes the best-selling Cab chair, developed in the golden age of Italian design and today an iconic piece in the I Contemporary collection.
Cab is the first saddle-hide chair with a free-standing structure, inspired by the relationship between the skeleton and the skin. The individual pieces of saddle-hide are stitched together and the upholstery is then molded to a steel skeleton and closed with zippers, like a custom-tailored suit.
A modern, versatile, iconic piece, Cab furnishes the most prestigious hotels and luxury restaurants, executive board rooms and congress centers with a varied product line in a palette of colors.
Structure: Tubular steel frame, painted black. Seat shell in black plastic.
Padding: Flexible cold processed polyurethane foam.
